What happens in rehab?
Every rehab program is different, but most follow a similar framework of therapies. In most cases detox is required and is followed up by residential inpatient treatment. After detox and residential treatment the individual will be put into an outpatient program and live in a structured sober living environment, also known as a sober living.
Detox usually takes 7-14 days depending on the substance[s] the individual is detoxing from. Once out of detox the individual goes into residential inpatient treatment where they have 24/7 support and daily drug addiction therapy. Once residential inpatient treatment is completed the individual getting treatment will usually move into a sober living. While living in the sober living they will attend outpatient therapy until their drug counselor deems them fit to leave.
